At instance, Deem, who worked for Khosla Ventures, recently completed a year as an entrepreneur in residence. There, he was in charge of choosing the best portfolio for Khosla by looking for new, emerging companies. He was also in charge of nurturing new businesses from conception to completion. He was in charge of mentoring the start-up businesses and young entrepreneurs once the companies were chosen. There, he was exposed to a wide range of innovative new concepts for emerging technology and had the opportunity to develop his professional business skills.
